typisch beton oh photography

What i like about photography, is the fact that you can play with imagination of other people converting  3d world in 2d images. However its not an easy process, and if you want to create something good you need at least a good idea and enough time to work. The photo above, is from the last shooting with young graphicdesigners from vienna. Benni+Oli+Daniel=TypischBeton (TypicallyConcrete). Everything begun as i have had the idea to make some series with graphicdesigners, as there are a lot of them in my life… And before starting it i decided to make a tryout, and the boys from beton where very cooperative, however you should never forget that graphicdesigners are very busy people, hehe the same as photographers. But after some weeks of writing emails and calling eachother we found some sunny day to make a shooting.

bike typisch beton

typical signs of graphicdesigners in austria – a fancy bag from typoberlin, a fancy bike, a fancy ladder

oli jumping

Oli just jumping around before shooting. The main idea was pretty simple as we have concrete in the name of the agency than we gonna shoot with concrete. And the perfect location in vienna city with a lot of concrete is UNOcity.

benni leiter typisch beton

ladder is not only important thing in life of graphicdesigner but also in life of every photographer! remember it!

Ok now we are on location, models are here, now we need some concrete ideas for a groupphoto which would represent the agency, and for three single photos for every of our young design pros… mybe thinking inside of concrete can help… lets see if there some ideas in Oli’s head

There a very interesting thing that iev exploared during my photolife, you can find some new ideas during the shooting, only if you have already prepeared some new ideas for it, and if you dont have to much pressure from the side of models and time.

we begun  with preparations for  the single shots, the idea was to paint a cube on the concrete and  let every single designer play with it in the way which would represent their working style.

3 graphicdesigners and 1 cube… not an easy thing…

and  here we go – first one is Oli with his very exact style.

benni boy with his chaotic style

and Daniel who is keeping  the balance between benni and oli with his style

and its the groupphoto… freshyoungstyleteamworkblablablabla…

after seriouse photobusiness we went to make some photos just for fun…

if you wanna be creative you should be at least from time to time like a child

hehe yeh that was the session with Typisch Beton boys. If you are graphic designer or a not too big agency and want to take part in my photoproject with graphicdesigners just write me a note ;) to gnatyk(at)gmail.com or comment here.
